Couches, sectionals, mattresses, dressers, dining sets, desks — one piece or a houseful. We do the lifting and carrying, and we donate what’s still got life in it.
Most of these calls are a single stubborn item: the sectional that won’t fit back down the stairwell, the mattress that can’t go out with the trash, the dresser nobody wants to carry. We take doors off their hinges when we have to and protect walls and floors on the way out.
If a piece is still in good shape, we try to place it with a donation partner rather than send it to the dump. That’s the upcycling half of what we do, and it’s the part we’d rather be doing.
Furniture is priced on how much room it takes up in the truck and how long it takes to get out of the house. A mattress by the curb is the cheapest version of this job; a sleeper sofa from a third-floor walk-up is the other end. We quote it before we lift anything.
